SAPI issue

Hi,

I have an application in CT ADE v10.0 with SAPI 5.1 installed, I use the TTS technology with a spanish voice but by the time the TtsSpeakString function doesn't reproduce a string and in the ADL.log appear the follow error:

I looked that the TTS resource is reserved correctly with the TtsUse function, setting a voice personality is correctly too with the TtsSetPersonality function and the TtsSpeakString function returned true.


Does anyone know if exist a Hotfix for SAPI that solve this issue? I installed the HotFix3 for CT ADE.

I seem to remember that the order in which speech API entries appear in CTADE.ini is important. If you have support from Syntellect (which you should if you are using 10.0) - your best bet is to create a support ticket for this. I can find no reference to this error in help files, and I do not use TTS myself.
Correction - I was able to locate the error (Resource manager error 242039) in the help file, but there is nothing to suggest how to fix it, the help file suggests contacting tech support.
Have you tried english TTS? Have you tried running the sample Text to speech application? Do you fail on one particular string, or does your TTS fail everywhere?

Hi Alexey,

Yes, I created a support ticket and I sent the files (Dialogic RTF log, ADL.log and a description from the issue) that they requested me.

yet I have not used the English TTS; I ran TTS Demo application with the same voice and does not create problems. I use the TTS for speaking the name from the users that the Nuance engine recognize (hypothesis) and by the time is in this part where fail.


Let me see the support analysis and after I'll comment the result.

If your demo works then your profile is fine. If your app works up until the point where you play a specific string - check your string, maybe there is a character there that is not recognized, or some bad format.

I´m testing in my demo server with the same database and with the same strings but it works fine. I have an application web that create and reproduce a string using the microsoft speech API and the result is fine too.

The last week I restarted the production server and until this moment It is working fine but I´m planning to restart the server every 3 weeks while Syntellect end up the analysis.
